Kabuku Inc. (head office: Shinjuku, Tokyo; CEO: Masahiko Inada; referred to below as “Kabuku”) has expanded its core business cloud service “Rinkak MMS” for manufacturing plants by adding a function to support automatic estimation for hybrid manufacturing 3D metal printers, adding estimation rules pertaining to hybrid manufacturing 3D metal printers and adding 3D model measurement and annotation sharing functions on the cloud.

In addition to the sales support system for 3D printing manufacturing using”Rinkak MMS (Manufacturing Management Service”, Kabuku has developed a sales support system compatible with hybrid manufacturing 3D metal printers and as a result the once complicated estimation process for hybrid manufacturing 3D metal printers has been made simpler and faster.

The sales support function for hybrid manufacturing 3D metal printers calculates the processing time using a proprietary algorithm based on the volume and shape of the finished product and the processing time unit cost and material cost set by the user.
It is possible to customize the processing time calculation for each component according to the user’s machine settings.

There will be a demonstration and trial use of these features at the Matsuura Machinery(head office:Fukui, Fukui、President/CEO:Katsutoshi Matsuura) booths at FORMNEXT held in Frankfurt, Germany from November 15, 2016 and at JIMTOF held at Tokyo Big Site from November 17, 2016.

The specifics are below.
(1)「Rinkak MMS」New Features
・Automatic estimation function for 3D metal printing as well as milling
・Functions to measure distance between 2 points and angle measurement
・Ability for users to collaborate and display 3D model estimation at the same time using Rinkak MMS (cloud service)
・Shared annotations for models displayed at the same time

(2) Value provided for the quote creator
・Rinkak MMS allows quick automatic estimation by only registering 3D models
・Even without CAD/CAM software it is possible to judge whether or not a model can be manufactured at the site (by
checking minimum tooling diameter, minimum wall thickness, draft angles, etc.)
